Pat Kuhn
Most Valuable Commuter March 2005
Employer: Sacred Heart Medical Center
Occupation: Medical Transcriptionist
Pat has been teleworking for 5 years and also works a compressed work schedule. Sacred Heart provides a computer and phone line and Pat receives all of her work through the telephone lines.
Not originally from Spokane, Pat never liked driving in the snow and winter and thought teleworking sounded good.
Her car insurance has gone down, she has no parking worries, saves money on gas and loves the fact that she is not polluting our air by driving everyday.
The advantages of working from home are; not having to worry about getting ready in the morning, saving lots of time by not commuting, saving money on clothes, taking breaks when she wants to and in the comfort of her own home.
She admits that she misses the camaraderie of her co-workers, but can't imagine going back to the office.
Living next door to her parents, she enjoys having lunch with them every day.
ETC, Lori Barschig, says as a past dedicated carpooler and working a compressed work schedule, Pat sets a shining example for other employees to follow. Way to Go Pat!
