Carpooling five days a week for two years, Dennis Kenerson, Process Technician 4 for Hollister-Stier Laboratories has cut filling his tank up by more than half. Seeing the grand prize poster with the possibility of winning a HDTV, motivated Dennis to contact his ETC for help. After finding and contacting two other employees with the same shift, he began carpooling almost immediately.
Not living close enough to each other, Dennis went above and beyond to get his carpool started. Contacting the Super 8, he got permission for him and his carpool partners to meet and park in their parking lot. With a 19-mile commute, Dennis and his carpool partners take turns driving and make changes when needed to accommodate each others schedules.
To support the CTR program, Dennis volunteers as the Guaranteed Ride Home coordinator during the night shifts. ETC, Lesley Schmidt says, “Dennis has a great attitude about the CTR program. He is continually talking it up, encouraging others and volunteering to help whenever he can.†Way to Go Dennis!
