May is National Bike Month, a fantastic opportunity for Spokane to celebrate the joys and benefits of cycling! Throughout the month, residents can participate in various events, from organized group rides exploring our scenic trails and neighborhoods to workshops focused on bike safety and maintenance. It's a time to encourage more people to discover the fun, fitness, and environmental advantages of using bicycles for commuting, recreation, and everyday errands, fostering a stronger cycling community right here in Spokane.
For May Bike Everywhere, the Spokane Bicycle Club provides rides that fold biking into everyday activities and community gatherings that invite cyclists of all sorts to mingle. Rides are short and local, a good way to share enthusiasm with less-committed cycling friends and family and see what's new in biking amenities. Cyclist gatherings include a Pancake Breakfast in Riverfront Park, energizer stations, and end of month celebration party – all free.
