Ron Haynes - Airway Heights Corrections Center

Ron Haynes is the Superintendent for Airway Heights Corrections Center and has been a longtime supporter of their Commute Smart program. With a 24/7 facility that employes over 800 employees, they offer compressed work schedules, preferred parking for carpool and Rideshare vehicles, secured bike storage, an Emergency Ride Home program and teleworking opportunities.

Ron fully supports flexibility in work schedules to accommodate the use of commute options and encourages other managers within the facility to do the same. He wants to ensure that if employees are interested in using commute options, they have the ability to do so.

He is also very supportive of their Employee Transportation Coordinator, giving her the time and resources available to ensure their employees are aware of their Commute Smart program and all the benefits available to them.

Ron is committed to making sure their Commute Smart program is a success! He says “Executives and Managers should have the same expectations to support the Commute Smart program as the staff that devote time to coordinate the program.”
